Can someone tell me about this clock? The label on back says Nicholas Muller's Sons & Co. The bronze pendulum is labeled on the reverse with NMS & Co No. 213. I was told by family that the clock came from Germany, but I am now guessing that was misinformation. Any info as to age or possible value is much appreciated.

Hi, dcquinn, welcome to the message board. Your clock was made in New York City, some time between 1875 to 1892. We aren't allowed by message board rules to give values. The following article will help you with information about Muller and his sons;

Wow! That was fast. The clock sat on my aunt's mantel for as long as I can remember and that was long before 1975. It is in a wooden case and sure looks Bavarian; very dark wood and has a matching wooden base on which it can be displayed.

The wood on your clock is probably black walnut. It would be worth restoring your clock, as these were pretty good quality clocks of the time.

And I suspect Muller black walnut clocks are not easy to come by.

Steven, I have one, so this is the second I have seen. The number 213 is stamped onto the pendulum bob, so I wouldn't use this as a model number, as my case is different from this one.

Harold has asked that I try to resize and post some additional pictures of this clock; including the label. Hope this works.
Thank you to all who have commented and provided valuable information. Diane |

Thanks, Diane. I am posting a picture of mine for comparison. It's on my "to do" list. Needs glass, and a transfer.
