    Default Korean Necor clock?

I have just purchased an old 31-day clock. On the face it says "Necor" (below the 12) and "31 Day" (above the 6). On the back it says "Made in Korea". Upon removing the dial, I find stamped on the movement's left "leg": "Made in Korea" and "No Jewel". On the right leg it says, "SEHWA". Below the 6 on the dial, in small print, it says, "Made in Korea".

The pendulum is supposed to hang from a short spring. Apparently that broke, and the guys who had it before (grounds keepers for a golf course) decided to try to fix it. They used some wire like a chain link to hang the pendulum from the spring. Of course that didn't work. So they applied grease to the springs. Still didn't work, so they just left it. I bought it for $30.

Where might I find a spring like this? I can't even find information about this clock online so far. Pictures can be found at (warning: they're big!):

Hi, sappha58, welcome to the message board. Timesavers carries three sizes of Korean suspension springs. Measure yours and order the closest one.

That was quick, and helpful! Thanks, Harold - I found the three rods apparently for Hermle style clocks. They look the most like the rod I have, anyway.

Any idea how old this clock might be, or its worth?

    Thanks again for your help!

Can't help you with value, as it's against message board rules. The suspensions listed for Korean movements would likely be a better fit for this clock than the Hermle ones. As for age, 1970's or 80's likely.

Sorry; I'll have to go back and read the rules again.

I did order the suspension for the Korean movement.

    Thanks again!

I just wanted to touch base back on this thread. After getting the new suspension spring as you suggested, the clock is keeping time like nobody's business! It took me a week to dial-in, but it runs beautifully. Thanks again for your help!
