Default Cuckoo Clock Diagrams? (RE: Plops Mom)

I have in my hands a very run of the mill 70's era cuckoo clock. It is stamped Regula 25 (1 day no music) and uses a standard cuckoo bird. On the Movement is also stamped "Made in West Germany" "GM 1884288 1892176" and Bachmaier & Klemmer". I am looking for a diagram, picture or other visual aid to show the basic placement of the wires (bellows, bird, etc.) when assembled. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Default Cuckoo Clock Diagrams? (RE: Plops Mom)

If it's cuckoo-only, no music or other complications, then I think there are only three wires to worry about: one from the bird to the door, to push the door open, and one for each of the bellows.

I don't know about bird-wire pics, but if you click on "Find" up there at the top of the page.
    and enter the phrase

    Should call them Owl Clocks

You'll go to a thread where LaBounty has some nifty pictures showing how to hook up the bellows wires.

    Hope this helps.

The thread I sent you to isn't the one with the LaBounty pics. To get to THAT one, do a "find" on

First mistake I ever made in my life.

    Thanks for the info!

I found the search feature, it rocks . I tell you what, I doubt all my questions can ever be answered. I just added this to my list of hobbies. All of my hobbies are meticulous and detail oriented. Reckon thats the engineering background. I thought all engineers did was have meetings, though. I will probably find five more cuckoo clocks at yard sales this summer.

I got this simple cuckoo clock and I should have it working fine as soon as I receive new bellows. I got confused because I saw a bird "post" and thought I was missing that, too. Turns out the only wire I am missing is the birdie to door wire. Cool beans! La Bounty's pics helped me out a LOT!

PS: Plop is the dog in my avatar. That's his puppy pic, now he is 92 lbs. and has retired from being a "therapy dog".

UH, "PM"? "simple cuckoo"? PM, "simple cuckoo" is a oxymoron - a liddle like me but with "oxy" added. Da Duffer
