    Default D&A Pendulum Clock

I have been trying to find the age and history of the following clock. It has D&A on the dial. Does anyone know anything about this clock; D&A or a resource I can use to get more information?

I have had the same clock since about 1993 and just recently it stopped working and I am looking to get it repaired. The nearest repair place told me it would cost $225 to repair which mainly involved a thorough cleaning and adjustment. I received the clock as a gift and the repair man told me it would cost about $600 new. I have been trying to find out if that is true? Hope this helps some. It is a great clock when working.

Hi, revdc, welcome to the message board. Seems to me you could get a much better clock for $600. Merritt's, among others, sells new Asian clocks comparable to yours for around $100-150.

But $600 would buy you a good quality antique wall clock that would last much longer.

No, it would not cost $600 new. We cannot give evaluations so I can't be more specific but you can read between the lines.
